Enspire Solutions successfully completed the first stages of the project covering 65 different communication rooms spread across three metro lines in Singapore. The scope and stages performed and completed successfully were:

  • Study of existing available drawings of all 65 stations. Identify the communication room and analyse its architectural and structural properties.
  • Perform a site survey in each of the 65 station to evaluate the accuracy the drawings reviewed and amend the drawings to as-build status.
  • Perform a blast effect analysis to evaluate the explosive effects on the room and the response of the relevant structural members and the recording equipment inside the room to the blast effects.
  • Perform a vulnerability assessment based on threat scenarios defined in the project scope.
  • Propose enhancement solution to mitigate the threat to the equipment within the room by physical means in sufficient detail to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed measures including but not limited to cost, schedule and disruption to site activities. All proposed solutions were submitted with the appropriate calculations. All 65 stations differed from one another and required Enspire to analyse each separately. The location analysed included places both aboveground and underground resulting in calculating cases for internal explosions.
